Working on the truss

Hey guys, this week we have been working on building a prototype. Our lead builder Jack Bateman has been using scrap wood to put together a 1:3 to scale of our project to see physically what we could change. During the build, Jack found that the angle of the truss was not aesthetically pleasing.

Jack and I sat down to change the angle down to see what it looked like. We then had one more problem there wasn’t enough trusses along the top, so instead of having 6 from the original plan we went to 9 over a span of 2.6m which made the sign look uniform and in proportion.
