Birdsmouth

This week we have nearly finished all of the main wall framing, and also insulated the floor and nailed on the ply, we used 18mm ply on the top of the floor so there is no bounce in it and used 12mm ply on the underside to protect against road debre but reduce weight. Also this week we have marked out the bird mouths for joining the roof beams to the walls and also working on the curvature for the roof beam ends. We also calculated the total surface area of the walls and subtracted the window area to give us a rough estimation of how much tongue and groove we need to cover the inside. Our next step is to screw the ply onto the wall frames.
