This week the team has started construction on our insect hotel. We started our day by travelling to Tuakau to collect the materials we ordered. When we returned to school it was straight to work marking out lengths and cutting them to size ready to be put together. We also had a newspaper reporter come in and interview us on our work as to which we were delighted to share our journey so far. Our next task is to cut out joints as we are assembling it with traditional timber joints. The next day we traveled out to Hamilton for the BCITO Big Construction Tour. It was an amazing experience and had the opportunity to watch a construction sight and factories etc in action. We all learnt a lot and got an insight into future career choices, and would like to thank everyone involved for making it all possible.
