Greetings,

This blog will be short with only commemorating M.E.Jukes & Son Carriers. To recap, we set up the meeting with Trevor Jukes (Manager) in the holidays to ask if they could supply us with sand. Evidently they were more than happy to provide the sand and last weekend we spent the whole day digging out the area that is intended for the sandpit and submarine. Our only obstruction was a wooden seat in the middle of the site. We hoped that it wouldn't be as deeply planted as we thought but we were obviously wrong and had concrete around it. It took some time but it eventually was removed. Saturday and Monday we completed the sandpit, it's been leveled out as best we could and lightly hosed the area to compact the sand. Time is breathing down everyone's necks and we're more than confident that the Submarine will be ready for Friday. Best of luck to all other schools and we can't wait to see everyone's finished themed playhouses. As always, continue to stick around and watch our progress over the course of the final week.
